A circle of 12 friends living on two continents with one thing in common: an unknown 19th century Norwegian-American female painter who created works on both the European and American continents.

Traces of her work remain and we want to award her with the recognition that we think she deserves - living and painting at a point in time between Impressionism and Expressionism.

We hope that, like us, you feel a sense of spirit in her paintings. If you know of other aspects of her life, her paintings, web sites or museums that have showcased her work, please let us know because we want this site to be comprehensive as possible.
